Accessibility Statement

Apofemme is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continuously improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, which is the standard required by the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) and the European harmonised standard EN 301 549. Most of the website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA — meaning some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the requirements.

What we have done

  • Full keyboard operability across navigation, product browsing, cart and checkout
  • Color contrast meets the 4.5:1 ratio for body text and 3:1 for UI components
  • Meaningful alternative text for product images and content imagery
  • Programmatic labels and required-field indication on all forms, with autocomplete attributes on checkout
  • Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), correct heading hierarchy, and skip-to-content link
  • Animations respect the user's prefers-reduced-motion setting
  • Layout reflows to 320px viewport width and supports browser zoom up to 200%

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, the following parts of the site may not yet be fully accessible:

  • The product image zoom on desktop is mouse-driven; keyboard and touch users have access to the same images via the lightbox and gallery thumbnails.
  • Third-party embedded content such as the Stripe payment iframe and Klarna widget follow their providers' own accessibility statements.
