Menstrual cup size — Which size should I choose?

How do I choose the right menstrual cup size?

The Apofemme menstrual cup comes in two sizes: Less and More. Both are made from medical-grade silicone and are soft and flexible. The right size for you depends on a few factors.

Size Less

Less is the smaller cup and is suitable if you have a lighter to normal flow. It's recommended if you:

  • Are under 25 and have not given birth
  • Have a lighter flow
  • Have a shorter vaginal canal
  • Are a beginner and want to start with a smaller size

Size More

More is the larger cup and is suitable if you have a heavier flow or have given birth. It's recommended if you:

  • Have given birth (vaginally or by caesarean section)
  • Have a heavier flow
  • Are over 25
  • Want to empty the cup less frequently

Not sure which size?

If you're unsure, we recommend starting with Less. It's easier to insert and remove, especially if you've never used a menstrual cup before. You can always switch to a larger size later if needed.

Empty the cup regularly at first to get to know your flow. Once you're comfortable, the cup can stay in for up to 12 hours, even overnight.
